-Your Life Your Way is so very insightful.
If you are wondering whether or not you are alone in your feelings, read this. If you feel
conflicted in how/who to be, read this.
In this book, Alicia offers you a new perspective, a new lens in which to look at how you think
and hence the decisions you make. Your life is your own if you let it be. Alicia makes this
abundantly clear.
The book clear, concise writing style makes it easy to understand so you can then use the
information contained therein.

-The book is an excellent guide for either young or mature audiences that can benefit
tremendously by the different subjects expressed in the book. This can be a great guide for your
job growth, personal or family growth. Can also guide you in many standards that we feel have
been set by society. You can overcome those and many others.
Very excellent oil.

-Dr. West presents an in-depth analysis of the pressures and issues that women face in our
society. She offers reflections on how women can respond to them in ways that can increase their
freedom and well-being. She argues that women “who are corageous and creative challenge the
pressure to be perfect and dependent”
I love her advice “Be the queen of your fate….You have only one life and it is your right to
develop your own destiny.

-This is a timely book that coincides with the Me Too movement. It gives women supportive
help in standing up to all kinds of societal no-no’s She says that a person’s identity has two roots-
-cultural and personal. She encourages women to strengthen their own personhood and balance it
with society’s expectations. I liked the way she gave women’s real- life examples for each
problem dealt with in the book.

-I found it very eye opener. It helps to recognize many of the paths that as women sometimes
we just follow without thinking “Is this my way? Who’s path am I taking? Should I still take this
road or what options I have?

-This is one of the best books I have read. Alicia is so sweet and empowers women.

-It is a great read for women that find themselves in most any oppressive pressure situation. I
like how the type of situation is easily found by chapter. You break it down in a way that surely
resonates with the reader’s experience, and then you provide a clear recommendation of how to
deal with it. But would it not be great if men could be enticed to read it as well. Men are creating
the lion’s share of that trauma which the women endure. I am hopeful the readership for this
book is widespread.

-This book is a must read for men. I am a middle aged white male. I was married for 18 years
but I have been divorced 5 years. I am now in a very happy and strong new relationship. Reading
this book made me realize how ignorant I am about the opposite sex. I can honestly say “I have
male privilege.” Not being able to fully put myself in the shoes of women, this book was an
enlightenment, an illuminating discovery of what goes on between the ears of women. The book
gives me an understanding of what was missing from my personal life and perhaps insight to my
failed marriage. But more, it is a resource to understand pressures on women and I know this
new knowledge will help me forge my new relationship even stronger.

-The purpose of YOUR LIFE, YOUR WAY is to show women how we can have a better life
and positive relationships. The author is good at showing how we can connect with our true self,
and develop from there to our best possibilities. It is right to prioritize our desires separate from
the expectations of others, because our life is our own. Dr. Lamberghini-West is an inspiration
for women who are restricted in their possibilities, and women who want to develop beyond the
traditional limits that are not healthy or constructive.

-I really liked this book because it features real people and real-life situations and how to deal
with them. Excellent book.

-This book opened my eyes to so many ideas about women; helped inform my understanding
of our lives!

-A great analysis. As women, we have been socialized to behave certain ways. It’s easy to view things as “just the way things are”. The author has done a great job of articulating how as women we have had our power, voice and choice taken away from us (or in many cases, we have given it away). It is a sobering read. But it provides an excellent analysis and can shine a light on areas of our lives where we can start to live life on our own terms and make choices that center our experience, our choice and our power. A good book for any woman looking to take back power in their lives.

-Amazingly in depth study of the social obstacles facing women. Important read for women entering, or already in the workforce, for men as well, and for professional therapists. Very well done!
